Whoa.

I fucking love it. Can I have it in a Christmas Card? Please?
I'll begin by saying that the shading is superb, as it always is.
The Girl: She looks amazing. Great expression, and I love how her cloak blends into ocean, with a tsunami occurring. Her crown with flowers is well detailed and fitting.
Everything else: Wow. The clouds and their lightning are very cool. I especially love the style of the lightning and how it weaves by the candle. The clouds become the head of a ferocious beast, and that transition is interesting, to say the least. The clock tower as a horn is a nice touch, and the tower itself is well detailed; you invluded all 12 markings and a little birdy on top.
I love it. Keep things up, Hoboweasel.

Hoboweasel responds:

Hehe, thanks a lot man! :D

Someone else showed me how to draw that lighting effect like that, I was just messing around though (I personally think it's a bit of a weak point, maybe I could have made it appear more light or defined, I don't know. If I had flash I guess...).

She thought it was really cool too :J (we just let out for break a while back and I had to give it to her then).

I dislike it.

No offense, but it's not aesthetically or imaginatively pleasing in the least. And no, I'm not "anti-gross" or anything, but this simply isn't anything special. There isn't any superbly done style or technique that should redeem its downsides, either. It's ugly and unoriginal, and the fact that it has a boring pseudo-background only adds to that.
Your usage of thumbnail is in bad taste, by the way. Even if it was intended as a joke, it's a crude joke that I really didn't find funny.

Slintas responds:

Too bad you didn't give me any constructive criticism so I could have learned from a master such as yourself :D

So bright...

So much "glow" that it actually makes my eyes a little sore looking at it.
Besides that, it's pretty good. I've always liked the use of an outline-lacking style, and here it fits well.

Vadent responds:

yeah the more I look at it the glowier it is, at the risk of sounding like some artsy bullshitter I'd say that echoes hajis erethral character and ghostly presence... or maybe I just went a bit filter crazy!

Very good.

Because Sabtastic, MoriChax, Pixelcake, Wishuponapixel, Madame-Origami, and many others are all no good as female artists, right Godly? You should probably try looking around the art portal a little more.
Anyways, to the work: It's very, very good. Clean, great use of colors and great shading. The perspective looks a little odd, considering how freakishly large the upper portion of the chair is. Overall, it's beautiful. I especially love the butterfly on her hand.

ArtistGamerGal responds:

Yeah I don't really know what my vagina has to do with it but thanks for the review!

Pespective!

The perspective is powerful and strange. As a whole, it's great! The shading is wonderful and the colors work well, but I have some little criticisms to point out to you;
-The succubus' torso seems too short and her frontmost thigh is too thin.
-The statues' hands are too big; same applies to Azalambel.
-Why does the tiling end abruptly on the floor?
Otherwise, it's awesome. Keep it up.

ZeWitchKid responds:

a lot of people find Aza,s hand too big, i personally too but it was intetionnal to exaggerate the perspective , for the same reasons mentionned above, its all about lines tricks really. what i really did was squeezing the two horizontal perspective points, and stretching the upper one, this form of deformation create an illusion of deepness and might make you dizzy just by lookin at it

you might expect to see more of this kind of angles in the near future ^^

as for the hornet shaped succubus, well its mostly a matter of personnal preference, i love thin waists and athletic curves

and the titles floor slowly erasing is part of a way to create distance, as the floor expand the details become smaller and smaller until they fade away, same goes for the brick walls who arent entirely textured, you will seee that commonly in manga artwork ,

Oh, so much love.

I have a lot of love for your work. The styles used are absolutely stunning and your sense of design in this work and others is great. It's simple in basic form, but captivating and complex in actual execution.
I love the ghosties, I love the creatures, I love the colors, and I love the swirls, stripes, and clouds. Oh, and that the stripey construct in the back forms a castle and some mountains, and that some of the ghosts form a large black creature on the left is really cool.

JessePants responds:

I really appreciate this comment, thanks man.

I like it.

I like this a lot. The coloration and presentation are awesome, and the style used is nice. Good work.

Mekka23 responds:

thank you :D

Very Nice.

I like that you're expanding on this character. I liked her a lot in the original picture.
The paint in the background, as well as in the smoke coming out of her... orb-things... is a nice contrasting touch with her dark appearance and the style in which she herself is done.
Good work.

Kero-the-boy-killer responds:

Thank you very much, i'm happy you like her <3

Color!

For my first time seeing you use color, you use it surprisingly well.
The robot does an outstanding job of conveying emotion, and your use of all darker, cooler colors (besides the bar on his head) supports this, as does the absence of color in the area surrounding his little "bubble". Stylistically, it follows suit with your normal, amazing style. I loved the attention to detail in even including the dots on the fret board.
The snow-flake is a nice touch, as well.
Wonderful work.

Hoboweasel responds:

Nice, thanks a lot for the good review! :J

Cool.

The cartoon style works very well here, and Mew's eyes look great.. The only qualms I have is that Mew is pouring Soder with the cap still on and that Mewtwo's left hand (our right) looks almost unnaturally placed.

spookycube responds:

Mew isn't pouring anything.

Juno was mad, he knew he'd been had, so he shot at the sun with a gun. He shot at the sun with a gun; he shot at his wily one, only friend.
